RWP, as producer of SpudSports.net,would like to request your assistance as an advertiser on a new athletics website to begin running for the 2009-2010 sports season. We are a locally-based business operating in partnership with Moorhead Spuds Boosters to cover Moorhead High School athletics. We are not directly affiliated with Moorhead Public Schools.
At SpudSports.net, we provide a common outlet for coverage of all Moorhead High School sports teams. Our website includes game coverage through stories and photos, as well as statistics and interviews with both coaches and athletes. Our goal is to act as an advocate for Moorhead sports teams and athletes, providing positive, in-depth coverage not found in any other media source.
Besides creating a one-stop website for all things Spuds, we also work to give back to the Fargo-Moorhead community. We employ journalism students from local high schools, giving them paid experience and helping them apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations through photography, video capture/editing, writing, and web design. Should the website create revenue, we plan, through our partnership with the Moorhead Spuds Boosters, to return money to the athletes and sports programs at Moorhead High School. Throughout our endeavors, the focus of SpudSports.net remains promoting and giving back to our community and its students.
As the creators of www.spudhockey.com, we have four years of experience working with Moorhead sports websites. In 2009 spudhockey.com will have 1 million hits, over 750,000 of those coming from Jan. 1 to Aug. 25th of this year. With the success of spudhockey.com, SpudSports.net has a target of 5 million hitsthrough the 2009-2010 sports season.
