Read the Fargo Forum Story > Click Here Bruins - Spuds Skate To 2-2 Tie The Moorhead Spuds started the season slightly sluggish in the first period spotting Fargo South a 2-0 lead. The first goal came after a Moorhead penalty had been called and the Spuds could not get a clear possession to force a whistle from the referee. It looked as though a Spud had touched the puck but was forced into the net by Bruin Josh Huguelet and the goal stood. The second goal was scored on a nice play by Josh Hooey as he backhanded a rebound on a shot by Grant Narveson past Logan Marks. That was the last the Bruins would get against Marks who stepped it up and made numerous saves keeping Moorhead in the game and finishing with 22 saves on 24 shots. The Spuds tallied their first goal of the season early in the second period on a drive up the middle and around the left circle by Alex Altenbernd who then went top shelf at 16:23. Moorhead then went on the outshoot the Bruins 10-0 in the next 13 minutes and then continued the frenetic pace in the 3rd period as Kyle Kraemer scored to tie the game 2-2 at 15:43. The Spuds put another 14 shots on net during the 3rd but couldn't bury the puck. Both teams combined for 8 shots on net in OT and the outcome was a tie after a very physical and fast paced game. The Spuds tallied 37 shots on net. FIRST PERIOD: 1, FS, Huguelet (unassisted), 12:53, pp. 2, FS, Hooey (Narveson), 16:44.
