Moorhead Falls To Roseau 6-1 In Section 8AA Final
The Roseau Rams will be headed back to the Minnesota State Tournament to defend their 2007 State Championship after defeating Moorhead Wednesday night in front of 3,393 fans at Ralph Engelsted Arena in Thief River Falls. The Spuds fell behind early after a Roseau goal by Nick Oliver but they hung in the game while being outshot 18-0 at one point late of the first period. Brock Buckellew scored on Moorhead's third shot on net with 3 seconds left to tie the game 1-1. The game was then hotly contested with heavy physical play and numerous clashes in front of both teams nets before Roseau scored at 8:25 in the second period on a goal by Ben Nelson.
